Every austral winter, thousands of southern right whales (Eubalaena australis) congregate in the relatively warmer and protected waters along the coast of Patagonia to mate, raise their young, and even relax and play. During this time, we have the opportunity for gentle, non-intrusive encounters with these intelligent, gregarious animals.

A Trip Like No Other

Picture Adventure is not an aggregator.  Each of our trips has been personally built and curated by our founders: we have scouted for the optimum specific locations; assessed the best dates; and selected the best boats, the right teams and services – and then it  is run by one of us.  You are traveling with experts, and in our experienced care beginning to end.   As always, we keep our trips very small, with 4 guests plus crew, to ensure that you get personal attention and the most and best encounters possible.

The Location

We have selected several locations along the Patagonian coast, and may move according to weather and other conditions.  All of our locations will be within a few hour’s driving distance from the regional airport.  At each of our planned locales, we have high quality hotels to stay in, and excellent restaurants – no matter how remote the area, Argentines like great food, great wine and great coffee!
