A Picture Adventure Safari

Picture Adventure offers an exclusive deep-forest experience in one of India’s most unique and underexplored sanctuaries. With full-day safaris, night drives, and two distinct lodges in different corners of Satpura, this journey delivers quiet, immersive wildlife encounters — far from the crowds — while maintaining luxurious comfort throughout.

The Satpura Experience

Satpura is unlike any other park in India. Here, you’ll explore the remote Bori Wildlife Sanctuary in the north and the more frequented Madhai zone in the south, staying at two handpicked jungle lodges. With exclusive jeep access, full-day permits, and night safaris, the focus is on quiet immersion, rare sightings, and a slower, richer pace of exploration.

Wildlife & Natural Highlights

Leopards in the Wild
Satpura is one of the best places to see leopards in India, thanks to low tourist density and forested terrain. Sightings often occur on full-day drives or night safaris when these stealthy cats are most active.

Sloth Bears & Wild Dogs
Both Bori and Madhai zones offer great chances to see sloth bears and Indian wild dogs (dholes). These species are active in the mornings and during twilight — especially in less-disturbed forest corridors.

Gaur, Civets & Jungle Cats
The Indian bison (gaur), civets, jungle cats, and even the elusive rusty-spotted cat may appear, especially during night drives with spotlights. Birdlife, including owls and nightjars, is equally impressive after dark.

Giant Squirrels & Ancient Forests
The Malabar giant squirrel is a highlight near Churna Forest Rest House — where you’ll also spend midday breaks surrounded by untouched wilderness and relic teak forests.
