Our Team

The Picture Adventure team has led intrepid explorers and film crews on expeditions to view and document natural wonders above and below the water on all seven continents.

Patrick started Picture Adventure in 2008.  When not leading trips, he has become one of the wildlife film industry’s most sought-after cameramen.  He won a BAFTA for his cinematography work on the BBC’s Blue Planet 2 and has since filmed nature programs for Netflix, National Geographic, AppleTV+, Discovery, BBC and others.

During the production the team filmed numerous world-firsts and provided a valuable platform for the scientists with whom they worked. In August 2023 “Patrick and the Whale”, a moving story of Patrick’s friendship with a sperm whale and directed by award-winning Mark Fletcher director, was released to global critical acclaim.

Patrick has visited 102 countries and has filmed in some of the harshest environments including Yemen’s tribal areas, diving under Antarctic ice and at the top of Congo’s erupting volcanos.

Pat is a certified rebreather scuba diver, wingsuit skydiver, hang-glider and para-glider pilot and is passionate about wildlife conservation.

When not on the road Patrick is at home in Bristol, UK with his two dogs.
